Meet the family........

All five of them

So these are all my children. Emmi  is the oldest. I was just 19 when I had her. Yes my mum went mad. I was living at home, 9 GCSEs, an advanced (yes an advanced!) GNVQ in Leisure and Tourism and a full time job at a soft play area - not exactly what my mum or I had planned! My boyfriend and I bought a house and moved in together in the April, my first baby girl was born in July 2001 and turned my world upside down and inside out.

My boyfriend and I got married in 2003 and by the December I fell pregnant. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be and I suffered a miscarriage in January 2004. (more on that later)

After months of struggling to conceive, Ruby was born in March 2005, with Alfie following 12 months later - 51 weeks to be exact, the doctor was right at my 6 week check, you are rather fertile for a few months after giving birth! Life was pretty good for a few years, I began working at a local secondary school as a teaching assistant, the kids were growing and doing well at school, however after reaching 30 I couldn't cope anymore. I had lost my mojo, I didn't know what my purpose in life was, resented everyone and threw my deck of cards in the air and walked out, my marriage began to fail in 2012 and eventually broke down in 2015 when I met my now husband, we quickly moved in together and had Lottie in November 2016, followed by Marnie in January 2019.I am now living a contented 'bumpkin' life. Working at an inner city secondary school. Living in our beautiful home that we renovated, we also have 3 rescue chickens, 3 cats and 2 dogs. Life is busy!

The biggest lesson I have learnt so far in life is that we have to do what makes us happy.

When we are happy those around us are too.

I spent too many years trying to please others and ensuring everyone else is ok before myself, this has been the turning point in my life and something I am going to be talking  a lot about.

Love Gianna x
